The only animal thought to produce its own sun tan lotion via secretions from its pores? The Hippo. The first space mission to land on the moon (allegedly) was called ... Apollo XI.

On Friday 15th Dec a spruced up,’Christmasy’ St Albans RFC clubhouse hosted the inaugural Minis Quiz Night. Questions, answers, beer & banter flowed freely as the small, but perfectly formed crowd battled to come up with the three elements of an atom? the length of a tennis court? and the opening line of ‘Our House’ by Madness?

Food was provided by Richard and Sarah, with adults treated to fish & and chips, children opting for the burger. Several pounds were raised for the club funds and good fun had by all.

One attendee said, "This was too good not to be repeated soon". So watch out for next dates.

In glorious sunshine (and a bit of a nippy wind) all age groups of St Albans Minis traveled west to the mighty Fullerians.
Fullers were, as usual, extremely welcoming and well organised. Large flags clearly signposted each age groups' playing area - given that they are one ofone of the largest clubs in the county, this certainly helped with arranging out teams. Mixed training began at 10.00am, then shortly after it was into match-play.

St Albans U9 has a cracking day, running in couple of wins. Our U12 were once again joined by our new friends Watford U12, and equipped themselves well. U11 had a harder day at the office. Matches one and two were much closer than the scoreline suggested. By match-three our tired players were up against fresh legs of the Fullerians-massive, so the going got a little tougher. However, everyone played their part, got stuck in and never gave up. #proudparent #proudchairman. We also learned the value of the long-range kick behind. Once we got the hang of it, and on the occasions had Fullerians chasing back, it was very exciting.

Training at home next week (3rd Dec). Luton at home the week after (10th Dec). 2017 finishes of on 17th Dec with Home training and a special guest.
